Visa Non-residents need a visa to enter Suriname, except for CARICOM member countries, the Netherlands Antilles and Switzerland. Vaccinations To enter Suriname there is no need for any special kind of vaccination. If you plan a jungle-trip, which is highly recommended, you may need to take precautions against malaria, depending on the area you are planning to visit. Transportation The Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport is located at Zanderij, about one hour from Paramaribo. We offer free bus transportation from the international airport to the hotel v.v. In Paramaribo there are several services that rent cars or bikes. You can also make use of various bus routes, which are passing by Eco Resort Inn. A ten minutes walk along the riverfront takes you into the downtown area, where Paramaribo's unique traditional architecture - symmetry in wood - will be yours to admire. Medium-size buses on the coastal highway are frequent and exceptionally cheap, but crowded. Taxis - which are faster though more expensive - travel along the same routes. To visit the interior and some coastal areas, river transport is the least expensive (and often the only) option.
